User Database

The member database, also known as the Registered Users module is where you can store profiles of people (like an address book), including personal details, organisational details and home contact details.

Registered users can gain access to restricted sections of the web site (providing that an administrator has given them the correct permissions) and receive html email newsletters and other emails.

Users can usually register themselves on your web site, view and/or edit their details or choose to unsubscribe from Registered Users. When a user unsubscribes (becomes inactive) they are not actually deleted from the Registered Users database. It just means that they will no longer be able to edit or check their details through the user end, or view restricted sections. By unsubscribing they will no longer be a recipient of the eNews.

The Registered Users module allows administrators of the site to give users access to restricted sections of the site and to send out html emails (e-newsletters) to the registered users.
